🟥 Red Line (Only active line)

  • Runs from Neve Yaakov in the northeast to Hadassah–Ein Kerem in the southwest, passing central stops like Damascus Gate, City Hall (Safra Square), Mahane Yehuda, and Mount Herzl.
  • 35 stations over 22.5 km—final extensions opened in Feb 2025.

🚧 Future Expansion

  • Green Line: Under construction, ~19.6 km with 35 stops between Hebrew University and Gilo. Expected completion ~2025–27.
  • Blue Line: Approved, ~31 km with underground sections, planned to launch ~2027–28.

  • Monday–Thursday:
    • 5:30–6:30 – every ~14.5 min
    • 6:30–7:00 – ~8 min
    • 7:00–18:00 – every ~6 min
    • 18:00–20:00 – ~9.5 min
    • 20:00–0:00 – ~14.5 min
  • Friday & holiday eves:
    • Until ~1.5 hrs before Shabbat – ~7 min
  • Saturday night:
    • From ~1 hr after Shabbat until midnight – ~9.5 min

Note: No service during Shabbat (Friday sundown to Saturday night) .

💰 Fares & Tickets

  • Single ride: ~5.90 NIS, valid for 90 minutes including one bus/tram transfer when using Rav Kav.
  • Paper ticket: Also 5.90 NIS, no transfers.
  • Discounts:
    • Students: 50% off
    • Seniors: 50% off (women 62+, men 67+), over 75 ride free.
  • Rav Kav card:
    • Costs ~5 NIS
    • Rechargeable via kiosks, ticket machines, or Moovit/Rav‑Pass apps.
    • Accepts credit cards, topped up digitally.
  • Fines: Traveling without validation on tram = 180 NIS.
